Manager/Sr. Manager - Project Management (PM-1032)

Reporting to the Senior Director, Program Management, AN2 is seeking a Manager, Project Management who will be accountable for actively participating in multiple internal cross-functional teams locally to ensure the effective delivery of assigned project milestones while working independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining detailed program timelines, trackers and documentation in support of the cross-functional team level activities. 


  • Provide project management support to the Senior Director, Program Management as needed to advance the lead clinical development program. 
  • Track and communicate project status, action items and decisions of subteams 
  • Proactively monitor the subteams to ensure alignment with core team strategy, status, critical path activities, resource requirements, risks and mitigation strategies are identified early and communicated effectively to SD, Program Management 
  • Facilitate the team preparation for the project review materials and other project documents to ensure messaging is clear and concisely communicated and completed on time 
  • Ensure all projects have accurate timelines and subteam deliverables are aligned with core team goals, objectives, and milestones consistent with the priorities of the business 
  • Enhance the standard best practices in Program Management, including the use of templates, tools, and processes to drive efficiency, alignment, and effective planning 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA or BS in life sciences required with minimum 3-5+ years drug development experience managing clinical development and regulatory projects in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, ideally in infectious diseases 
  • PMP certification preferred 
  • Experience managing drug development projects through late-stage clinical trials and support of regulatory submissions preferred 
  • Prior experience with creating long-term planning and managing integrated timelines and resources. Manage and engage with team members to innovate and refine strategies 
  • Strong teamwork collaboration skills. Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional team environment, with a passion to help drive team towards a common goal.
  • Strong experience in Project Management processes, creating templates, trackers, taking minutes and creating timelines using MS Project. Experience with OnePager and Office Timeline software a plus. 
  • Excellent organizational / planning skills, time management, and record retention. Capable of setting priorities and managing high workload. Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to deliver assignments on time, thorough follow-through and implementation skills with high integrity.
  • Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization with demonstrated success initiating change.  Striving to look for opportunities for constant improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with new technologies and produce professional work products 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills to bridge between divergent scientific opinions, negotiate timelines, resources and ensure effective collaboration
